The Church Restaurant, Northampton, selected for the top 12 vegan menus in the UK by PETA
With the holiday season in full swing, PETA went on a search for the best vegan Christmas dinners to enjoy in restaurants and pubs across the UK. PETA chose their top 12 menus which they say meet the growing demand for hearty, healthy and humane holiday fare – and The Church Restaurant in Northampton has earned itself a spot in the top 12.
The Church Restaurant is a successful restaurant running from an 12th century church in Northampton. The Church is offering a specially crafted vegan menu, with a selection including dishes like squash, sage and chesnut rolls, baby carrot & lentil pot roast.
“Thanks to The Church Restaurant, it’s easier than ever to extend the spirit of giving to all this holiday season by leaving animals off our plates”, says PETA Director Elisa Allen. “PETA encourages all Britons to celebrate a compassionate Christmas by enjoying a vegan feast – with all the taste and none of the cruelty of a traditional meaty spread.”
The Church restaurant is part of The Richardsons Group, who have a number of bars & restaurants around Northampton. Jake Richardson, managing director of the Richardsons Group said “We are delighted to receive this award, and are pleased that The Church team has been recognised for their efforts. We endeavour to cater as widely as we can for dietary requirements including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free; which of course is made that little bit easier for us as our food is freshly prepared and cooked whilst you wait.”
We offer a comprehensive vegan menu all year round with pre-orders available. If you’re looking for somewhere to dine on New Year’s Eve, please contact us before the 18th December to discuss a vegan menu.
